Frequently
Asked Questions How
are you different from other magicians?
First of all, I’m a woman! Often the children are suprised because they’ve
never seen a lady magician, but of course girls can do magic, too!!! Secondly,
I’m told my show is very different. My magic is strong and guaranteed
to amaze, but my style is gentle. There’s lots of silliness and laughter,
but instead of getting the kids all hyped up, for most of the show they sit
mesmerized. Many parents have told me they prefer and appreciate this approach.
My show content is squeaky clean with NEVER any off-color humor or double entendres
for the adults. Also, I promise to show up!! I will send you a written confirmation
and check in with you by phone a day or two before your event. In 10 years,
I have never missed a show. Do
you have animals in your show?
For years I brought my cockatiel, Angel, to every show. I recently stopped
for several reasons. Sometimes children are allergic and, on occasion, even
frightened of a live animal. Also, with the volume of shows I do, I feel it’s
inhumane to subject a bird to the rigors of travel. Nobody ever seems to miss
him, but I will bring him upon special request. I’ve added several excellent
new tricks to replace him. (Angel is now 7 years old and lives in a huge cage
with 3 other cockatiels and a parakeet). Do
you make balloon sculptures?
Kids love balloons, and I DO make them on special request. However, I prefer
instead to give each child an easy-to-do magic trick to take home. While twisting
balloons one at a time it’s hard to keep all the children entertained.
Balloons can pop, somtimes even before the end of the party, and at best last
at most one or two days. Also, it’s not uncommon for children to be allergic
to latex. Why
should I spend more for you?
My fee might be slightly higher, but you will get a high-quality, memorable
magic performance guaranteed to delight and amaze everyone present. I will
send you a written confirmation and check-in with you before the performance,
setting your mind at ease that your performer will actually show up. Indoors
or outdoors?
If there’s a choice, indoors, definitely! Performing outdoors is a challenge,
especially if it’s windy. If the show must be outdoors, please make sure
that both the children and the magician are in shaded areas At summer events,
it works well when the party is held outside and everyone comes inside just
for the magic show.
